RSS

Messages from an RSS feed can be added to an email if defined in the template or used as RSS snippets.

On the RSS tab, you can select RSS items and add them to your email.

Select RSS item

First, select an RSS feed. You can find the RSS feeds at the top right.

Next, select a message on the RSS tab and drag it to an RSS position in the e-mail.

RSS positions in the e-mail are highlighted when you drag an RSS item.

Existing RSS items are labeled with a checkmark and are grayed out.

Add a new RSS feed

Use the gear icon at the top right to add, edit or delete an RSS feed.

Give it a name and paste the RSS URL to add a new RSS feed.

Merge on execute

Use the block with the RSS icon to add a merge-at-run RSS block to the email. When this block is used, RSS messages are merged from the RSS feed when the e-mail is sent (see HTML editor).

Use the settings in the editor to select the number of items to display and choose the starting number. This number corresponds to the order of the items in the RSS feed.

RSS drag and drop

RSS items can only be moved within targeted RSS snippets by default.

By adding an RSS feed definition to an RSS snippet, you are able to identify multiple RSS snippets for the same type of RSS content in which you can reposition RSS items.

Dynamic RSS content in email

You can automatically populate your e-mail with dynamic values in your RSS content. You apply a filter in the RSS menu that filters items from your feed by category, think location, product category, interest, destination, job posting. This will make your personalized e-mail even more dynamic.

Please note: In order to take advantage of E-mail populating with personalized RSS content, you need to extend the definition of your RSS url with the data-ternair-rss-variable attribute. You do this in the HEAD of your email. More information: HTML editor.
