Hashing fields/columns
It is now possible to hash data fields in a Snapshot block.
This functionality allows you to share confidential data with third parties without sharing the original values. We use SHA256 hashing for this purpose, where the same value always results in the same hash.
This reinforces the privacy and security of your data while sharing.
Addition datamart functionality
Standardly, a datamart preserves the existing value of a field if you leave it empty during data merging.
With the new feature, if you supply an empty field, you can choose to make the existing value empty. You do this by checking the option 'Show advanced options' and then choosing 'Allow empty value'.
Exception: The key should never be emptied, therefore the option is not given here.
Mapping menu modified
The mapping menu in a Snapshot block has been extended. When you click on the + icon, you will now see a menu with three options.
New is the "Calculated Value" option. This allows you to create a calculated field based on Scriban. You can use this for example when generating the current date.
