Import file

The Import function allows you to import data from a selection in Ternair Campaign to a Ternair Database, such as a marketing database, subscription file or an external database. An import block must be directly connected to an upload or snapshot block.

Please note that in order to use an import block, a client-specific import definition in the settings of Ternair Campaign is required.

Drag an import block to the worksheet and connect the block to an upload or snapshot block.

You can use the import block only if the selection is saved.

Double-click on the import block to open the settings.

This section focuses on the following options; each option consists of a tab in the settings of the import block.

Block template

Every import block can be saved as a template. After an import block is saved as a template, it can be used as a template for other import blocks. A block template can be reused by clicking on 'Open block template' in the lower left corner of the import block and selecting the template from the list.

Description

You can specify a description for an import block. The description field is intended to specify a logical description for the block. This makes the contents of the output block easily recognizable in the selection flowchart.

Cancel

Use the 'Cancel' button to undo your changes.

Save

Using the 'Save' button allows you to save your changes without (re)calculating the block.
