Create

The output function "E-mail" can be used to create mailings in Ternair.

Drag an e-mail block to the worksheet. Connect the e-mail block to one or more selection blocks.


Double-click on the e-mail block to open the settings screen.
On the left side, the e-mail editor is displayed. On the right side you will find the settings.


You can only create an e-mail if the selection is saved.

This section focuses on the following options; each option consists of a tab in the settings (right side) of the e-mail block.
The e-mail editor (on the left side of the screen) is always visible.

Senders description and subject line

The following fields can be defined at the top left of the email block:
  • Description sender; for example: Ternair

  • Email address sender; for example: nieuwsbrief@ternair.com

  • Reply to; if this field is empty, replies will be sent to the sender's email address; for example: support@ternair.com

  • Subject line for the email

  • Pre-header (optional): the pre-header for the email.



A fixed list of allowed sender and/or reply email addresses can be defined in the Ternair back office. Only values from the predefined list(s) can be selected and it is not possible to manually enter another email address.

The subject line of an email can be entered manually or dynamically (see Personalization and dynamic content) or with a value from an RSS feed (see RSS subject line).

Create your email

For creating the email content, there are several options; (1) use your own HTML, (2) use an existing template or (3) create your own email with snippets.

HTML

For option 1, type or copy and paste your own HTML code into the HTML tab.


View document
When a template is created or selected, the email can be edited (on the left side of the screen). In the document overview view (on the right side) it is possible to select the email snippet.

Click the arrow on the top right to collapse the document overview.


Templates

Option two: select an existing template.
You can find your own templates in the local repository (identified by the marker icon). You can find default templates in the global archive (identified by the globe icon).
Select themes style to create themes-based content in your email. See themes for more information.


Snippets

For option three, drag one or more snippets from the snippets tab to the left side of the email block to build an email with snippets.
You can find your own snippets in the local archive (identified by the marker icon). You can find global snippets in the global archive (identified by the globe icon).

In the editor, a blue dotted line is visible when an item (snippet, RSS message, image, etc.) can be dragged into the worksheet.

Snippets can be organized by dragging them up/down in the content.


Themes

Create email content based on themes.
Select your theme in the upper right corner. The selected theme will be applied to the templates or snippets.
If you want to change the styling select a different theme.
