Text Message

With the Text Message module, you can compose and send a text message to a linked target group.


Terms and Conditions
Before you can send a text message, at least one target group must be available. You can select this target group via a Target audience, Leads, Website clicks, or Webhook block on the flowchart.
 

Add an Text Message block

Drag the Text Message block from the category Select channel In the menu, go to the worksheet. Connect the Text Message block to one or more target audience blocks.


Double-click the block or use the context menu (three dots > Settings) to open the editor.
 

Text Message Editor

At the left side The text message is displayed on your screen. At the right side You'll find the menu and its settings there.

 

Overview of the Editor

The editor consists of several components.

Title

In the upper-left corner of your screen, you'll see the block's title (default: Text Message). Click the pencil icon next to the name to edit the title.

Advanced Mode

In the upper-right corner of your screen, you'll find the "Advanced Mode" toggle for additional menu items and features.

Editor

In the center of your screen is the editor where you compose the text message.

Menu

On the right side of your screen, you'll find the drop-down menu with additional options.

 

Menu items

The menu contains various options that allow you to set up and manage Text Message. Which menu items are visible depends on whether the Advanced Mode is ingeschakeld.

Use an existing Text Message template as the basis for your message.

Map the fields you want to use in your text message.

Contacts

Specify whether and when a contact event is logged after sending. (Visible only in Advanced Mode).

Preview & Testing

View and test your text message.

Settings

Configure post-submission confirmation options, such as confirmation. (Visible only in Advanced Mode).


By default, only icons are displayed. Clicking the expand icon displays the detailed view.

When you select a menu item, the icon turns green. This lets you see at a glance which tab you're on.

Next to the icons, you'll see a red or green dot.
The red dot indicates that action is still required.

The green dot indicates that everything is set up correctly.
 

Advanced Mode

Wanneer Advanced mode is disabled, are available only:
  • Templates

  • Mapping

  • Preview & Testing


 
Wanneer Advanced mode is enabled, these additional options will appear:
  • Contacts

  • Settings



Additionally, you can use the Save as a block template option.
In the Save button, three dots appear that allow you to open an additional option to save the block as a template.
 

Error Messages

In the middle of the screen, you can see error messages that indicate what is still missing before the text message can be sent. You can view the error messages by tapping the arrow icon to click down.


Hover your cursor over the "i" icon to see the corresponding error message.


These following Errors are possible:

Compose a text message


Sender

Click the pen icon in the "From" field to enter or edit the name of the Text Message sender.
 

Create a post

Click the pen icon in the message field to compose or edit the text message.
 

Templates

Use an existing Text Message template as the basis for your message.
Search for a template using the search field and select the template to automatically load the content onto the smartphone screen.
 

Mapping

All fields that you want to use in the text message must be selected (mapped) on the Mapping tab.


In the left column, "Content Variables," you'll see all the fields that need to be mapped. In the right column, "Mapping Fields," you'll see all the available fields to choose from. These come from the Target Audience Section that was created in the Target Audience: Manager. If any fields are missing, adjust the mapping in the Target Audience Section within the Target Audience Manager.
You can link fields by dragging a field from the right column to the corresponding field in the left column.


Please note:
  • As long as there is none target audience is linked to, Mapping is not available.

  • If the message "No fields found" appears, check whether your template contains variables and whether the target audience is linked correctly.

 

Contacts

In the "Contacts" tab, you can specify whether and when a contact event will take place registered after sending. You can select these contacts from a selection block in the Audience Manager under the "Campaign Information" source.

 
Turn on the switch to record contact moments. Select a channel for recording your contacts.
Select a contact date.
  • execution date (the date on which the block is executed)

  • run date + (a number of days after the run)

  • fixed date (on a specific date that you can set yourself).

 
Please note: This menu item is only visible when the Advanced Mode is activated.
 

Preview & Test

Before you send the text message, you can check, review, and test it at Preview & Test.

 
Testing Text Message
You can also send a test text message to one or more email addresses and/or phone numbers. You have the option to use a custom subject line.


Below the table listing the test variants, you'll find the following options:
  • Refresh Data – loads the most recent data

    • Please note: When you reopen an existing email block, previously saved data is displayed. Click "Refresh" to see the latest data.

  • Show number of rows – choose between 10, 20 of 30 records

  • Show random data – loads random records


Select one or more records and click the button Send to send the test email.
Please note: As long as no target audience is associated, "Preview & Test" is not available.

Settings

On the Settings tab, you can specify whether you want to receive a confirmation after the text message has been sent.
 

Please note: This menu item is only visible when the Advanced Mode is activated.

Apply/ Save/ Cancel

Use the options below to save your changes.

Save the settings without closing the editor.

Save

Save the settings and close the editor.

If "Advanced Mode" is enabled, you can also save the block as a template by clicking the three dots.

Cancel

Close the editor without saving any changes.



Execute Text Message block

Once you've saved the Text Message block, you can launch it in two ways:
  • Go to the Text Message block, right-click, and select Execute. Text Message sending is then activated. A one-minute countdown timer appears, after which the Text Message is sent.


  • Connect the Text Message block by drawing a line to a Schedule-block.


Open the Text Message tab

To open an existing Text Message block, double-click the block or click the three dots in the upper-right corner in het blok.


A context menu appears with the following options:
